Jeep Aerials, Medina’s Bunkbed, And The 10 Year Challenge
Just another week in the Greenroom.
2018 came and went quicker than the WSL’s “new interpretation” of the judging criteria that lasted three events. But just as times change, some things remain the same – the Backdoor shootout getting pumping waves, floppy hat wearing hipsters love Byron Bay, and Kelly Slater can’t quit the World Tour.
Here’s the oddities that have landed on the cover of The Greenroom Times so far… some just as strange as holding a surf expo in Orlando.

After surfing the air, dropping in on mountain sides, and carving through valleys, a surfer has been left with an incomplete ride after failing to pull an aerial in the sand.
Instead other surfers were forced to pull it out of the sand. The aerial in the sand attempt failed as the air reverse was tried in low range instead of reverse like its name suggests.
It is unknown if Jeep will be using the surfers’ GoPro footage for their next annoying commercial.

The reviews for Brokefoot Mountain were not as positive as its acclaimed outback prequel.

”Did we just become best friends?”
“Yep!”
“Do you wanna shave our pits in the basement of my yacht? Yep!”
After smashing pumpkins with their bare hands, having sword fights in the toilet, and just doing cool shit and posting it all over Instagram, Gabriel and Neymar thought it would be a great idea to put to make bunk beds.
When asked about the bunk beds, Gabriel said “It looks like one you would buy from a store,” while Neymar commented “It’s making my head spin how many more activities we can do, so many activities.”
We can’t wait to see the resulting images that will stem from all the extra activities being completed in this budding bromance.

Julian Wilson’s #10yearchallenge
Spot the difference.

To the surprise of all present at ‘The Da Hui Backdoor Shootout’ the winning team, Team Weedmaps, arrived at the award ceremony on time. They grabbed the oversized novelty check and ran straight down the road to Pupukea Foodland to shout everyone at the after party unlimited bags of Cheetos and Fruit Punch Gatorades.
The cashier was just as confused as everyone else as to what a Weedmaps is.
