“Easy to put away in big numbers and tastes real good,” is how Taj Burrow described Honest Ale to Stab—the beer company he co-founded with Jay Davies and Dino Adrian

Last Thursday night, Taj and the Honest Ale boys hosted their East Coast launch on the bottom floor of Ravesis, Bondi—accompanied by a surprise Skegss gig.

Once the crowd was thoroughly lubricated, Jay Davies took center stage to perform a guitar solo with his mouth. Taj owned the mic, and sang whilst Toby Cregan and the boys set the local mob on fire. Dino Adrian did the rounds and thanked the crowd for coming along to celebrate the official release.

The room was thumping; outside the windows stood a pack of teenage girls belting their hearts out, certainly surprised to stumble across a Skegss Gig on a Thursday night.

When we asked Taj about future plans for Honest Ale, he admitted that the trio were planning on taking it slow—it’s their first time in the beer industry after all. Though, after the reaction we witnessed first hand, that could all change.

Today, after a weekend of recovery and a gallery of photos from Life Without Andy that aren’t too incriminating, our US based counterparts aren’t the only ones with something to be thankful for:

We are thankful to have partied alongside friends.

We are thankful for the 265 metre walk to the venue from our office.

And, we are thankful for the delicious refreshments.
