Fruity! The 7till8 Aloha Shirt
An intrigued review of a piece of neoprene that’s reversible, thankfully.
We get a lot of advertorial pitches. They range from boardshorts that’ll open your beer, inflatable longboards, album drops by Slovak metal bands, wetsuit drying tech, surf sunglasses, and hoverboards.
Most of the time they slip down the inbox, unanswered.
On occasion, there’s something worth writing about, or something that piques interest in the office; particularly mine, as I have a penchant for women’s sunglasses, and other things 27-year-old men shouldn’t be seen wearing in public.
Recently, 7till8 – a wetsuit company, that push their basic suit at $215USD and drop limited addition rubber with prints including, but not limited to, rainbows and unicorns, Charlie Brown attire, a royal blue business suit with a red tie, Santa suits, and other prints 2012 Wilko would roll up to an event in roller skates in – dropped us an electronic message regarding an aloha front zip wettie top. Originally I figured it’d be terrible. I had never seen any of the above stylings listed before, but was intrigued enough to click the link.
It was delightfully fruity.
The pineapple, flower, ukulele and palm tree design is in good taste. They dropped one off for me, I tried it on and imagined gliding an 11-foot yellow single fin that I don’t own down First Point Malibu, dropping in on strangers wearing khaki shorts, aviators, a bucket hat with a smoke hanging from a cigarette holder while blitzed on psychoactive substances. Unfortunately, I’m not bold enough to do most of those things.
I prefer my wetsuits black, and try to not draw attention to very mediocre surfing. Thankfully, the 2mm piece of neoprene is reversible.

They running at $155USD and are only available until March 26th.
