Here’s Why Bruce Irons, Taj Burrow And Joel Parko Surfed The QS 1000 The CT Wish It Ran
The Komune Bali Pro presented by The Mad Hueys > Rio and Fiji (so far).
Which is the real dream tour? After the utter perfection at Lance’s Right and the Komune Bali Pro, the QS 1000’s are looking down right delightful. So much so that Joel Parkinson surfed Keramas and subsequently opted out of Rio citing an injury… but last year, he made a point of never going back. “It’s weird how the lower level contests have the best waves,” Zeke Lau told Stab after the event. “It was sick how all those guys bailed on Brazil to do the comp. They were running expression sessions. There were times were it was just me, Dingo, Parko, Taj and Bruce trading waves. The waves are never that good on the QS, so I was stoked. We were all joking around saying we’re going to start doing the 1000 tour.”
