Is Brazil Basically A Sand Bottom Skate Park?
Lucas Silveria puts the case forward.
In a few short weeks, Lucas Silveria will turn 22.
At 19, he already had a World Junior Championship under his belt., following his domination over Kanoa Igarashi and Leo Fioravanti in the Ericeira World Junior Championship.
Though he wasn’t quite as dominant in 2017, to be fair, this was his first year solely dedicated to the Q’, and he placed 55th. His best results came in Hawaii—9th at last year’s Volcom Pipe Pro and 9th at the Vans World Cup at Sunset.
Whilst pursuing the Q’, Lucas killed a little time at home in and around Florianópolis’ 42 beaches, which doesn’t it just look like a user-friendly, sand bottom skatepark, kissable lips and puntable sections, a few open face opportunities. A damned ideal training ground for CT hopefuls. Maybe that’s why Brazil is currently the worlds best surfing nation.
In 2018 Stab will be keeping a close eye on this Brazilian flyboy, but for now, enjoy the video above.
