Asher Pacey And The Most Downright Australian Clip You’ll See Today

Every once in a while a brand campaign slides into our inboxes that really brightens our day. For some it’s the high performance action contained within that gets our waters flowing. For others it’s mood. And whenever we see twin fin virtuoso, Asher Pacey, alongside artist, Nanda Ormond, SurfStitch and surf thread artisans, Rhythm, we brace for a psychedelic experience.

To date we’ve shone a light on every one of their collaborations. Not for reasons of commercial obligation, but because it’s hard not to appreciate the creative energy that goes into them (and judging by clicks, most of you feel the same way). Consider the hours Nanda sat at his desk, twiddling stationary, sifting through references, sketching his characters, ensuring there isn’t a single frame out of place. That’s discipline – something lacking in the age of the millennial.

Stab has its roots in the land down unda, so the latest vid with its nod to pub culture, panel vans, BBQs, boxing kangaroos and surfing kookaburras, really tickles our sweet spot. As usual, there’s a range attached to the creation, with tees, boardshorts and accessories influenced by the iconic eras of the late 70’s and early 80’s in Aussie surfing culture.

Looking back over the previous collaborations Nanda’s supreme ability to shift his style becomes evident. With each creation there’s a subtle twist, a progression, reflected in the corresponding wearables. Move this direction for the full range or scroll down to peruse from a far.
