Watch: Jacob Willcox In “Homeless”
A grade, B-side material.
Jacob Willcox is showing signs of becoming something very special.
At 20, he’s already made cameo appearances in the CT world, bumping out names of the calibre of Kelly Slater and Gabriel Medina (is there a higher calibre?).
Growing up in Western Australia, which needs no descriptive backstory as its reputation speaks for itself, is certainly proving beneficial for his choice of career.
Jacob’s tube riding prowess has been forged over some of the heaviest and most delightfully perfect stretches of reef in the world. It’s likely with or without adding more competitive notches on his belt, he’ll be all over our screens throughout the coming years – bring on the upsets, we say.
Remember the edit ‘FILF’ that he and cinematically talented pal, Isaac Jones, worked on together a few months back? Well, it was ultra highly recommended viewing so if you haven’t you can slide below for the prequel.
Anyway, the pair had a stack of material that didn’t make the final FILF file, which is usually the case when an efficient surfer invests enough into a feature edit. They get so many clips it becomes a real dilemma trying to decide what’ll remain on the timeline come deadline.
So what we have up top is ‘Homeless’, a creative and thrilling compilation of b-sides, unreleased material that’ll excite you enough to despise the dreary waves you probably have splashing on the shores of your local, or make you suite up and get busy.
