There’s no denying that when it comes to diversity, inclusion, and “cross-pollination,” Vans does the US Open right. One of their finest initiatives is Joel Tudor’s baby, the Duct Tape Invitational’s men’s and women’s events slipping into the week’s programming, while the vendors village and skate park bustle away in the mid-summer sun.

With a gutless-but-loggable two-foot windswell lapping the southside HB sandbar as the Duct Tape Invitational decided its finalists (they surf today at 1pm!), we tapped Isaac Zoller, one of Stab‘s favorite Orange Curtain lensman to capture the scene.

Isaac made his rounds, shooting the action in the water and vibes and characters around the event (click through above), before posting up in the VIP tent for a candid portrait series, which you can see below.
