A Collab Stab Digs: Bong x Bonethrower
Where subtle and psychedelic collide!
David M. Cook, who goes under the moniker Bonethrower, is originally from Kentucky but lives and works out of Silverlake, Los Angeles. Unlike most artists he’s colorblind, and according to him, “I never know what colors other people are seeing in my art,” or “if the colors even go together at all.” Presumably, his friends and fellow artists have told him that the colors, do in fact, go together.
Billabong, a leading producer of collaborations that we particularly adore, have just released their new line with the LA-based artist. Bonethrower’s work is like psychedelic tattoo art with a hint of death. Stuff that could easily transfer from canvas to the forearm of your most transcendental friend. The result is something that also looks quite nice on the front and back of t-shirts, jackets and boardies.

Bonethrower and the Ocular Tee.
A few items we particularly enjoy from this line are the Ocular Jacket – a black coach’s jacket with three eyes centered down the back; the Ocular Tee – similar to the jacket but in color and umm, a t-shirt; and the Iris Layback Shorts – which simultaneously say, “I’m casual, but I also came to get down.”

The Iris Layback shorts.

Colors, skeletons, masks and lines living in imperfect harmony.
If you’re digging on this collab the way we are, you can shop the entire line right here.
