Noa Deane Just Released A Solo Album: Barbie69
Written, recorded, mixed by Mr Deane himself aka ‘Blister’.
Business is booming over at ilovetables PTY LTD, main man Noa Deane releasing a solo EP this week under the artist name ‘Blister’. If you’re into the grunge feels of the early 90’s then you’ll likely play through the entire Barbie69 extended player below (which you can purchase digitally for the price of long-necked bottle of sauce), if not, give it a sample then swing back to the safety of your spotify comfort zone.
Kudos go out to Noz, who self-produced the whole thing, writing, recording, mixing in “the downstairs kitchen of my parents house.” That’s a lot of hours tweaking knobs, moving microphones, second guessing lyrics and disrupting the folk’s ‘quiet time’ – that’s the grunge ethos though, right?
Stab digs Barbie69 and its nostalgic Cobain flavour, especially in ‘me’ and ‘blocked’, as well as that hint of Silversun Pickups in the closing track ‘Presh’.
After some visual stimuli to accompany?
