Mountain Sounds Festival 3.0, everybody’s favourite party in the Parklands, is nearing and the lineup is a doozy. While most of Sydney is wallowing in the loss of their nightlife at the hands of lockout law introduction, why not drive an hour north and party your day and night away on a lush mountain with your buddies? You’ll see acts like Violent Soho, Albert Hammond Jr. (The Strokes), Alpine, Art vs Science, Green Buzzard, Skeggs, Cut Snake and more over five stages. You can pitch a tent in the nearby camp grounds if drinking thirty five beers and driving seems like a bad idea (it should!).
Last year around this time, the Central Coast festival had already sold out, and for good reason. With the wildest outdoor location and highest attractive person per-square-meter ratio in the Australian festival scene, tickets will be drying up quick. The sustainable festival organisers are claiming that the party is going to be bigger this year with the addition of a secret stage, markets, pop-up bars, live art, cuddle puddle(!?) and assorted extra-curriculars. Not that you need activites or international acts to get you high, you’ll be on eight hectares of amazingly landscaped gardens (see below). Quite the paddock to go wandering off and ‘find yourself’ huh?
Tickets are available here, with swank VIP options that include access to a colossal teepee with main stage views, table tennis, private bar, free massages and separate bathrooms. GA from $99 and VIP $139. Full Lineup and more info here: MOUNTAIN SOUNDS FESTIVAL 2015 from Mountain Sounds Festival on Vimeo.
