Att: Jagwar Ma, Jack River And The Babe Rainbow Are Doing A Free Tour

Summer Bright Lager presents “Summer Sessions” coming to a seaside bar near you.

Why pay ridiculous prices for overcrowded festivals when you can squeeze into a cosy beachside venue and see your fav acts for free? Celebrants of warmth, Summer Bright, have decided they’d like to take over your February calendar by curating a bunch of shows you can’t miss down the east coast of Oz. It’s a three-for-the-price-of-none kinda deal, featuring three acts Australia is most proud of; Jagwar Ma, Jack River and Byron mysto-psych triage The Babe Rainbow. From Hervey Bay to Wollongong, the mini tour will be packing out bars and providing aural thrills with a lineup you’d expect to have to bring a tent and gumboots to witness.

The anthemic Jagwar Ma will be hitting the Pacific Highway after the release of their sophomore album Every Now & Then, agreeing to share their blend of soul and sunshine-infused Manchester techno before they jump on a plane bound for Coachella.

Holly Rankin aka Jack River has only recently shed her incognito image and began performing numbers from her debut EP, Highway Songs No. 2, so this’ll be a fine opportunity to see her this intimately before she hits the big time. If you’re unfamiliar with her sound, Australian Rolling Stone speak of “dirty pop doused in glitter with whispers of a Mexican sunset,” which does paint an intriguing image.

You may remember The Babe Rainbow from that time Dave Rastovich stepped in on a live recording and added a few layers of percussion to the flower-pop groove Love Forever. Since their (reportedly wild) US tour with The Growlers, they’ve been laying low, appearing only intermittently in their record label’s Instagram posts… until now.
