All Hail The Californian Winter

Surf clips shot on film provide a coarse feeling of nostalgia that’s hard to compete with.

It’s a raw element that works especially well while shooting the Ventura heavy crew of Tommy Mckeown, Josiah Amico, Tristen Simon, Mickey Clarke, Eithan Osborne, Dane Reynolds, Chad Compton, Dimitri Poulos, Cory Scrivner, plus a Tom Curren cameo.

Toss in a rugged soundtrack to lay over the viscous hacks and gut-spitting barrels, and voila, a surf edit is made.

The edit was shot in January of 2021 by UFA Films and gives the west coast every reason to start itching for some winter swell. The warm summer weather has been nice, but a run of stand-up pits would be nicerer.
