Presenting America’s Most Explosive Surfer (Under 20)

There’s something about Griffin Colapinto’s surfing that grabs us, shakes us, and rains down upon us like a festive snow globe. He’s got everything you want from power, style, flow, technicality and the ever-important X-factor. I speak for most mainland Americans when I say that Griff is our greatest hope for another (male) CT qualifier, and a title contender down the line. 

Currently Griff resides at tenth on the QS rankings, but with no major results to his name, he’s got significant ground to cover if he plans to spread his jus across the Goldy next March. But if it doesn’t happen this year, Griffin shouldn’t fret — he’s too talented to not qualify eventually. Watch this clip and try to tell me otherwise.
