Watch John John Florence Make This Sadistic Sandbar Appear (Almost) Attractive

Since the two-time world champ was sidelined with another knee injury in Brazil back in July, John John Florence’s YouTube channel and Instagram feed have been fertile ground for footage.

Ironically, we're seeing more of him these days than we ever did when he was healthy.

John’s most recent drop comes from a suck-out session on the Insanities sandbar. Shot during December 2017 after a series of winter swells had pushed a ton of sand down toward Rockpile, he passed on Pipe to make the most of the short-lived bank.

And in other John-related news, for those diligent followers of Insta account, you may have noticed a post he made a few days ago where he was once again dusting off the Bark paddleboard as the rehab process continues. But more interesting than his first strokes towards recovery was the caption he deftly leveraged: "Back in the water #tokyo2020."

John may be down, but he clearly isn’t out. Could he really be looking to be back in time to qualify for the 2020 Olympic Games?
