Crosby Colapinto has a pair of coconuts where his acorns should be. 

While his older brother and friends slipped through the playful tubes of Salina Cruz, Crosby, Jett, and Kade Matson booked their tickets to a wave 4x the size and 6x the power, in an effort to improve a skill set that is uncommonly exercised in San Clemente: large-tube riding. 

The results?

Kade almost drowned and booked an early ticket home (but only after threading this late-afternoon screamer). 

Jett nabbed a few clean mid-sizers. 

But as evidenced above, it was the CT-pedigree Colapinto who grabbed “Puerto” by its haunches and held on till completion. 

No longer a boy is he!
