Watch: Brendon Gibbens Has A New Wetsuit Sponsor And It Ain’t Impeding Those Bendy Limbs

Over the past few weeks, megabrand Hurley committed harakiri by laying off 60 office workers, slicing a large portion of their surf team, and licensing their products to anybody with a credit card and underpaid laborers.

The law of surf-biz dynamics dictates that when one softgoods brand dies, another is born in its wake. So, it only makes sense that new wetsuit brand would rise from Hurley’s ashes, and perhaps that brand is the French-born Manera. 

While we haven’t heard much about this family-owned neoprene biz, Manera has just signed Brendon Gibbens to its roster, a coupling they celebrated with the video above. 

And while it’s tough to tell the quality of a wetsuit by watching a surf video, we can at least confirm that Brendon’s gumby-esque knees are still able to bend beyond most MCLs intended in this new rubber.
