Watch: A Creative Take On A Waco Film
Seager Co. with a delightful throwback to bit-style surf cinema.
Stab founder Sam Mcintosh said it best: The best air wave in North America is in the middle of Texas.
While true, the (albeit good) problem that no one foresaw is that the waves at Waco are so consistently perfect that it’s become borderline impossible to capture them in a unique light. Unless you’re landing an NBD or something like this, chances are it’s gonna get swept in with all the other ‘Waco Clips’ we’ve seen in the past three years.
Enter Seager Co.
The Western-inspired outdoor company took their team (including recent addition Skip McCullough) to Waco for some good ‘ole fashion shredding. Being a small business, Seager prides themselves on coming up with creative solutions to problems big and small. With that, they have officially produced a Waco edit with a fresh-ish take.
Inspired by the bit-style surf cinema of yesteryear, they produced a play on the 2005 classic Fair Bits, titled Drillbits. While we presume Ben Stiller’s fee wasn’t in the budget for this clip, Skip and fellow team member Brady Ruysschaert do a mighty fine job of playing up their caricatures as Waco security guards by the names of Chuck and Larry (full costumes included).
