Tom Carroll Discusses Drug Addiction, Sharks And SUPs With The Raging Bull
Occ-Cast Volume 11.
“Sharks aren’t out there to kill or eat humans. They’re just out to eat their food source…and that’s definitely not humans,” surmises Tom Carroll.
Occy asks, “Why do you think there are more shark attacks around the world today?”
“I’m not much of a theorist,” answers Tom, “but what I hear and what I listen to, we’ve been over-fishing our stock of pelagic fish, which larger sharks feed on. But we’re not only doing that, we’re stripping the ocean of a lot of life. We get a lot of our nutrients from the ocean on a daily basis.”
Cut to classic Occy, “I wouldn’t want to eat shark, because, you know, they might know.”
Not so much an interview, the latest Occ-Cast with Occy and Tom is a rollicking reminiscence about the tour life of old, sharks, drug addiction, Pipeline, “the turn” and heaps more.
