The Women Return To Supertubos

It’s been nine years since the women have surfed a CT event in Peniche. Now, a decade after the inaugural Rip Curl Search event there, the women are returning to Supertubos. 

We’re currently two days into the event with the surf not quite matching up to some of the, dare I say, stellar warm up sessions. The men, as per usual, copped the better conditions of the two days managing to sneak a handful of head dips and the women paddled out for the afternoon to scrounge together what scores they could. There is however plenty of days left in the waiting period and it looks like there’ll be enough swell for a handful of tubes heading into final days. 

To celebrate, Rip Curl has whipped up a little clip of some of their women’s team talking about the comp and returning to that blessed section of the Portuguese coast.
