The Search Guides Us Through The Hometown Of Hallucinogens
Tom Curren, Mason Ho, and Conner Coffin lead the way in Northern California.
The original “Acid Tests” were a string of parties during the 1960s held in the San Francisco Bay Area. Organized by author Ken Kesey, the meetings centered on the use of LSD. The public gatherings featured performances by the Grateful Dead and sparked the emergence of a flower child counterculture.
By the looks of Rip Curl’s most recent clip ‘In The Band’, those spiritual vibrations are still fluttering in the crevices of Northern California. Tom Curren, Mason Ho, and Connor Coffin recently surfed their way down the Bay area coast, exploring the hippy movement’s ground zero between sessions.
