The 90-Second Offshore Escape You Didn’t Know You Needed

Damien Hobgood is kind of like the Yoda of Encinitas. He’s a little taller and his ears aren’t as hairy, but the Force is still strong with him. The last few years he’s been working with the area’s aspiring bright-eyed talent, passing on a lifetime’s worth of experience and knowledge.

And if Damo is Yoda, that makes Levi Slawson the Luke Skywalker of Encinitas.

Towards the end of the winter, the two hit the road for a little master and apprentice score. Pulling on the fullsuits and hoods, they got themselves into some beautiful, empty, offshore conditions.  

And while the seasons change in California and the beaches continue to be locked down, thanks Master Damo and Levi for chasing the wind and getting out there.
