Team Quiksilver Found France’s Superbank
Watch as Mikey, Kael and co. trade champagne showers.
Quiksilver flew its A-Team out for the France event and what a wonderful decision that was.
Not only did La Grav have its best day in two years – which local Quik rider Marc Lacomare christened with his high-wire pit – but Kael, Mikey, and some kid named Joel (who surfs quite well) stumbled upon several other impressive banks, including one that mimics a fun day on Australia’s Gold Coast.
Quik’s talent level is deep, but Kael Walsh stands out from his peers in this five-minute flick. Despite a niggling knee injury, Kael hurls himself off the heaviest sections he can find, occasionally landing on his feet but more times than not getting detonated in the flats. It seems now that Mikey has qualified and noticeably dialed back his approach, Kael will take the Mullet’s place as Quiksilver go-for-broke kid.
We look forward to seeing what comes from that.
