Julian Wilson’s biopic, Scratching The Surface, has been out for a while now. For those who haven’t seen it, the film’s a high-budget, hi-octane perspective into the charmed life of freeboy-turned-dream-tour-rookie J-Dubs.
The Indonesian section from the film has surfaced on the internet. As the section stars Taj Burrow (along with Dane Reynolds, Dusty Payne and Jules himself), TB’s uploaded the four-minute clip to his Youtube account.
The latter half of the section’s shot at Greenbush, a true beast of a wave. The tunnel on it is relentless, and the end section treacherous. Hats-off to Jules for giving Dusty Payne the last wave of the section and not hogging the limelight. With a wave like the one Dusty scores at the end, Jules would been silly not to give the Hawaiian star-positioning. Wanna know what we’re talking about? Hit play.
