Sammy Pupo Has A Pop In His Step
The 2017 Young Guns winner has a bag full of tricks.
It’s no surprise that the 17 year old Brazillian is still tearing after his Quiksilver Young Guns victory.
The surf might not be 6-8 foot and heaving like the finals in Indo, but he’s evidently more than capable in the sloppier stuff back at home seen in this clip.
It ain’t just all chop hops and twirly birds either, the young man isn’t scared of putting his fins to the face and knocking back combos that would have the judges’ eyes watering. Mix this with a well above average air game and you can tell the QS hopeful has a big future in both the free surf and competitive arenas.
He may have bombed a little on the qualifying circuit last year, but considering he’s not even old enough to legally buy a beer, there’s plenty of room to improve in the future.
