Today, primers brawled bumpy Sunset beach for round one of the Vans World Cup. Thanks to 24 hours of howling onshores, the unpredictability of the waves were reflected in the heat scores. Sunset is a muscle of a wave at the best of times and it was on its power game today. But that didn’t stop some of the best low seeds having a good old fashioned swing.
