Fine And Sunny In Sri Lanka
Asher Wales, Jake & Jaleesa Vincent and more on their first afternoon at a Sri Lankan point break.
Sri Lanka likely sits amongst the ‘must see’ destinations pile on most surfers lists. When it comes to the Misfit team however, Sri Lankan stamps all but consume their passports.
Their most recent trip there is far from their first – and won’t be their last. Aside from delectable sand-bottomed points and anti-rubber water temperatures, Sri Lanka offers a bounty of cultural experiences which span well beyond their stunning coasts.
The above is the first episode in Misfit’s second season of ‘Lives’.
Rather than releasing a single surf-jammed highlights package – or a scrollable Instagram edit – Misfit aimed to create a series of surf-centric instalments that provide depth beyond the barrels and bottom turns of their time abroad.
This first episode relives the team’s first few days in Sri Lanka and their first afternoon of ‘surf’. Take it as more of an introduction to the region and cast than anything else. We’ve been assured that this is the worst of the surf they copped too.
Anyway, slide back up for Misfit’s first ep in Lives season two; featuring Jake and Jaleesa, Asher, Crow sliding around on a surf mat, and a few locals not afraid of sharing waves.
As you can see, waves aren’t the key ingredient when it comes to having fun surfing.
