Off The Rack: A Sample Quiver From The Safe Haven Of Used Surfboards

Welcome back to Off The Rack, the series where above-average surfers face the terrors of stock surfboards, built for the everyday consumer.
In this edition, Schuyler Allen teams up with North Shore’s smooth operator and backflip pioneer, Flynn Novak, and put Surfboard Broker’s second-hand rack under a microscope.
For those unfamiliar, Surfboard Broker is a used board shop where a variety of options and reasonable prices rain from above. They are most popular on Instagram, but have board stations around the world.
The mystery box they sent includes six boards, with shapes from Darren Handley, Graham Smith, Wade Tokoro, John Robertson, Tim Stamps, and Timmy Patterson.
And while torrential rain and howling onshore wind would dominate the month of March on Oahu, the fellas found a 2-day window of waves and worked their way through the quiver.
