You know by now that Europe got like…really good waves recently. 

This is not news. While most mainstream attention was focused on Nazare, almost every wave from Mullaghmore to Morocco started lighting up, bringing a raw sense of awe and envy to we in the American and Antipodean regions.

This is perhaps most true when it comes to the Basque Country gem and forever missed CT venue, Mundaka.

Remember the nostalgic shots of your favorite pros getting tossed into the drink? Well, that river mouth is what makes the wave one of Europe’s best lefts. Due to the ever-changing sand, you never know exactly what you’re gonna get once that first swell hits. When Epsilon did arrive, Natxo Gonzalez and friends were greeted with a marathon day of reeling barrels, with Natxo himself playing out every energy drink sponsor’s dream and logging 9 straight hours in the water.
