Mason Ho Meets Wedge!
Three highly enjoyable minutes from a man who fears no sand.
Do you remember, just two weeks back, when we lauded Mason Ho’s ninja-like reef dodging skills at a beyond-shallow Hawaiian reef?
Well, Mase recently took those same gymnastic abilities to California’s Wedge, where a small south swell was exploding right on dry sand. The Hawaiian caught a few waves at the “user-friendly” left, then paddled 50 meters north to the infamous Cylinders section, where a right-hander refracts, bends, and contorts itself over a dehydrated bank.
Mason pulled into shorebreak tube after shorebreak tube, somehow mitigating damage to both body and board in a performance that was worthy of damn near every superlative in the book.
You will not regret wasting three minutes on this, we guarantee it.
