Mason Ho’s New Clip Is Like Watching A Car Crash In Slow Motion

It’s not outlandish to presume that as a child, Mason Ho dreamt of a career in geology. Instead, he stuck his feet in some wax and immersed himself in the study of dry reef, and waves anxiously positioned between rugged cliffsides. Beyond being more than apt in the air, and well versed in the art of the second reef Pipe roll in, he’s the leading purveyor of a strange surf fetish that involves rough, immovable and sharp objects...rocks, mostly.

Because of this, Mason has a slew of secret spots he rides exclusively for no other reason than the fact that he’s one of the few (or only?) surfers comfortable, confident and crazy enough to tease their Mayhems across sections that are more dragon teeth than boneyard.

Mason and filmmaker Rory Pringle's collaborations are always fun, occasionally terrifying and, like watching a car wreck in slow motion, thoroughly entertaining.
