Mason Ho And One Of The Greatest Backwash Recoveries In Recent Memory
Who else can Houdini their way out of this bog-rail blunder?
Mason Ho is a surfing artisan.
His abilities transcend athletic skill and inhabit a realm of cosmic connectivity with the ocean that every movement appears pre-ordained, or perhaps divinely sourced.
In the video above, Mason performs one of the greatest backwash recoveries in surfing’s vast history. From behind the rock at Snapper, to Seal Beach’s hallowed shore pound, even at nearby Makaha, few have traversed an opposing swell with an equally deft and quick-thinking approach as Mr. Ho.
Similarly, Mason’s friend Kalani Chapman threads a no-hand funnel at Sunset’s notorious inside bowl, earning Kalani a round of applause from most surfers’ hardest critic—himself!
As with any Mason-produced flick, this short is undeniably agreeable viewing. Crack a coconut, drizzle in some CBD oil and enjoy.
