Growing up on the elongated, pointy walls of Noosa, a young and impressionable Jakey Vincent was subject to incessant abuse at the tongue’s of his longboarding and core peers. But a young Vin replied, “Fuck that! I’ve seen Passion Pop [1500 times] and just wanna do fuckin’ shuvs.’

Today, at the peak of small-wave surfing’s rise to fame, Jake Vincent sits pretty atop the pedestal. Other two-foot and under fanatics like Chippa Wilson, Wade Goodall, and Filipe Toledo (Vin’s biggest fan) may have inspired the young whipper-snapper, but today they’re left trailing in his erratic wake.
