Kanoa Should Have Stayed in Portugal
A perfectly executed Euro Step.
Before arriving in Australia and checking into Hotel Quarantine, Kanoa Igarashi made a pitstop in Portugal. Fourteen days in a hotel room sounds miserable; getting a solid trip in beforehand is understandable.
My only question is, why did he leave? While most of us prolong a session by saying one more wave, the conditions in Portugal called for one more week, at least.
Kanoa Igarashi made it to Hotel Quarantine on time, but I kind of wish he hadn’t. The thought of Kanoa making a full 30-minute surf film in the best surf Portugal has to offer makes me giddy.
Am I grateful for the eight minute gift Kanoa has bestowed upon us? Of course, but at the same time, you wouldn’t leave the restaurant after eating a delicious appetizer.
