Josh Kerr Could Still Win His Own Air Comps
Graciously, he doesn't compete.
At 35 years old, Josh Kerr can still put down punts with height and technicality that rivals the world's aerial elite.
So when he made the Red Bull Airborne series, Josh was gracious enough not to include himself in the heat draw. It wouldn't be a good look if the commissioner was dousing his own hand-picked competitors.
This year, we saw Airbornes take place on the Gold Coast, Keramas, and France. Each event brought its own unique flair (Gold Coast: ideal air wind and classic Dbah wedges; Keramas: machine-like consistency; France: heavy metal death ramps) and the surfers came to play. The events were won by two CT stars (Italo Ferreira and Jack Freestone) and one "air guy" (Stab High double-finalist Ian Crane).
