Jeremy Flores Is Having A Better Winter Than You
Care to watch a man get supremely barreled?
Never leave waves to find waves.
That’s the golden rule, but it starts to feel closer to silver when you add certain conditions — like leaving waves in a 5 mil to find waves in boardshorts. Take, for example, leaving the cold and often frustrating wintertime beachbreaks of France to get down on some north swell energy in Tahiti.
This was the existential crisis Jeremy Flores faced recently. His decision? Don’t leave. He even had to cancel his flight back to Tahiti, where he currently resides, to stay. Jeremy knows better than to break the golden rule.
In recent years, he’s gone from kind-of-low-key one of the best barrel riders of this generation to very-high-key one of the best barrel riders of this generation. His four CT wins — two at Pipe, one at Teahupo’o and one a few months ago on this same stretch of sand — speak for themselves.
This edit does some speaking, too. Doesn’t seem like Jeremy has lost that Quik Pro rhythm yet.
