Is This The Next Asher Pacey?

On the latest episode of the Stab CUSP, Stace and I discussed what determines a pro surfer's "value" in our shift (both culturally and epidemiologically) toward a purely digital world.

One surfer who I see as supremely undervalued is the Kiwi-come-Gold Coaster (who bears a remarkable semblance to Asher Pacey), McKenzie Bowden.

While McKenzie is a talented surfer on most any craft, it's the kid's personality and creativity that set him apart. Have a scroll through McKenzie's Instagram, and you'll realize there are few people in surf who create such original and engaging content.

Frankly, I find his following of 11-thousand shockingly low, so please tap the blue button while you're there. Then enjoy his surfing—which again, reeks of Asher Pacey—above.
