Is The Pacific Northwest Too Cool For You?
A relative skunk but with sublime scenery.
It’s important to know what type of surfer you are.
Some of us thrive in colder temps. Others shiver and quake when the thermostat drops beneath 50 (F). If you ride for team O’Neill, which was founded in the frigid waters of Santa Cruz, it’s best that you fall into former category, because there’s a decent chance they’ll send you on a trip like this.
The Pacific Northwest (and Vancouver in particular) is home to very fine surf. Unfortunately for Timmy Reyes, Brett Barley, and Ben Coffey, they didn’t find much of it on this R&D trip. Nevertheless, the weather was chilly and damp enough to say beyond a shadow of a doubt that O’Neill’s new line of gear works.
Silver (and waterproof) linings.
