How To Demolish Average Waves With Eric Geiselman
Somehow, surfing chest-high slop isn’t as fun when we do it.
“If you can surf good in bad waves, you can surf good in anything.”
This is a sage piece of surfing wisdom that, despite its grammatical inaccuracy, has proven to be mostly true over the years.
Think about it: surfing shit waves takes an incredible amount of wave knowledge and agility. Much more, believe it or not, than the men and women who paddle into mountains.
In order to gain speed on flat spots and traverse all the chops, one must be quick, one must be nimble, and one must be extremely precise in their movements.
As proven by the video above, Eric Geiselman has all of these traits in abundance. Watch as he dances around the playful Panamanian beachie, cutting here, jumping there, finding the odd air pocket in which to stuff himself. It’s masterful!
It’s also why we believe Eric to be one of the most talented people ever to set foot on a surfboard. We can’t wait to see what he delivers this week when the swell comes back up in Bocas.
Til then!
