How to Bali with Betet ‘Da Guy’ Merta

Wayan Betet ‘Da Guy’ Merta is the fresh prince of Bali. Whenever any surfing anybody swings into town, Betet’s always their first call. He knows where to surf, where to eat, where to party, and always has a smile glued to his melon. If you’re a surf nerd you may remember his classic interview in Bobby Martinez’s signature film Mixed Tape, where Betet confessed his love for Bobby and had everyone in stitches. “Bobby Martinez man, I wanna be with him!” Da Guy’s latest edit comes as a result of him telling every filmer he sees at the beach, “you better fucken shoot me and give me the clip for free otherwise I’II kick your fat ass off this island! (laughs.)” It’s filmed at the usual haunts (Keramas, Canggu, Padang) and a few that you might not recognise.
