While October and November see us patiently awaiting swell on the North Shore, by the time the Pipe Masters is over, the influx of edits grows tiresome. With so many lens cowboys littering the sand, shooting everywhere from Logs to Sunset, the amount of footage that pours through our inboxes within the final two months of the year is outstanding. You can’t save bangers because that clip you just got of Kelly Slater’s tube to alley-oop before Pipe, or John Florence’s air of the winter (the edit came out Sunday, and takes the best credit as the week’s best… because well, John wins (almost) everything) is already on Instagram, and surf media three hours post real time. It takes a particular clip to steal our attention, and Quik’s newest addition of Radical Time in Hawaii did just that.
