Eight Feet Of Atlantic A-Frames Aren’t Always Easy
Nic Von Rupp, Miguel Blanco and a few locals tackle their idea of fun.
What’s your ideal set-up?
Three feet of groomed beachie wedges? Six foot, elongated walls, uniformly filed marching towards your preferred point? Or perhaps you’re inclined towards lumps with a tad more board breaking potential.
It appears Nic Von Rupp, Miguel Blanco, alongside locals Manuel Lescano and Franito Saenz, tend to choose the latter of the three.
“Miguel Blanco and myself [Nic Von Rupp] tracked down a forgotten about Atlantic Jewel”.
And the above viewing showcases what occurred over two sessions at what Nic described as, “Europe’s most locked down wave”. Eight-feet of A-frame near-perfection is one phrase which readily pops to mind.
There’s everything from successfully knifed tubes, to last second pin-drops, with a carve even thrown in for good measure. It may tend slightly towards the slow-mo overkill side, but hey, the waves feature little fault… and we’ve seen worse offenders.
