Eerie Visions From A Post-Apocalyptic Santa Cruz
Or, how to adapt in times of a global pandemic.
Stab has been informed that the town once known as Surf City USA—sleepy ol’ Santa Cruz, California—has totally been abandoned—not due to covid-19, but instead an unbearable odor emanating from the local rivermouth.
Reportedly all the townspeople have left for greener pastures, except for the one guy with a gas mask, who we’ve identified as the son of local shaping legend Ward Coffey, Sam Coffey.
Since the town was ghosted, Sam has been surfing all his local haunts without a soul in sight. Seeing the Lane, [redacted], and [redacted] with no people in the water is a lot creepier than we could have imagined, but hey, anything to keep those “hordes of kooks” off the shoulder.
