Brad Domke rides the biggest wave ever ridden on a skimboard

Ol Brad Domke, eh? How has an east coast skimboarder captured our imagination? From big names like Shane Dorian to Jamie O’Brien gushing on social media, to pretty much anyone who knows how to wrangle fibreglass on a wave, we’ve all heard about this cat. You saw the grab from this wave about a week ago, from the same session where Shane Dorian paddled this monster. Yeah okay, so it’s still tow-assist and ski-assist and whatever else but this gent is still in the pocket of a wave this size without fins and that is extraordinary. When we interviewed Domke last year, he told Stab: “It’s very difficult, but when you catch a wave and you’re finless, it’s such an organic feeling. You can get so much speed.” Yes, Mr Domke, yes!
