A Non-Paddle Shipstern Bluff Session

Shipstern Bluff, as we know, is one of the most menacing waves in Aus, if not the whole planet.

In the modern age of big wave surfing, it’s frowned upon to use the power of petrol if there’s any hope of chipping into a wave using your own limbs. But when you’re considering Shippies this big, there wouldn’t be many out there willing to give it a crack sans machine – unless you have a deathwish. 

Not too long ago, Shippies turned on again and the footage landed on our digital doorstep. 

The slowmo and overdubbed chirps from the channel may be a bit overkill, but there’s no denying that it was high quality Shipstern and the surfing going down being arguably better.
