A Comprehensive Guide To South Africa
Do it right, from Cape Town to Durban.
South Africa’s one of the world’s most desired locales. It’s raw, unfiltered, has cooking waves, immense beauty and diversity. The Quik crew linked up with local rider, Mikey February after landing in Cape Town. They cruised Long Street, marveled at the mountainous landscapes that encompassed the city–the amphitheater of beauty. Walked through the interchanging colours of Bo-Kapp, a suburb of Cape Town, originally formed to house slaves from Malaysia, Indo and Africa in the 17th and 18th centuries. They went cage diving with the South Africa’s most feared creature of sea. They took to the Garden Route, from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth, they drove along the nearly unblemished coast, past the roadside vegetation, lagoons, beaches, lakes, wetlands and wildlife. For miles the drove, stopping in the local villages and ending at Jeffreys Bay. With Mikey leading the group which held: snowboarder Bryan Fox, skater, Zach Miller, Matt Banting, Lee-Ann Curren and Javier Mendizabal. They traveled through Durban, and sucked in the grit, culture, art and vibe. Outside of the city they went on safari and gazed at the Valley of 1000 Hills. If there was any way to do ZAF right, the Quik crew just ticked all the boxes.
Mikey February’s as apt a guide as any.
A vast desire.
Bo-Kapp, taste the rainbow.
ZAF really has it all.
