Watch: Killer Whales Just Interrupted A Norwegian Surf Contest
Surfer in red remains impressively chill.
There are limited situations where competitive claiming is universally accepted; when someone wearing a jersey pulls a flip, rides out of an absurdly long tube, double oops, or holds their ground while a pair of giant fucking killer whales swim by.
Today in surf tales from a far away place, two killer whales have fronted up to the annual Lofoten Masters surf contest in Norway, breaching priority rules and elevating blood pressure in the immediate vicinity.
The pair made their presence felt during the semi finals of the event. As you'll see in the low resolution snippet above, the surfer in green (or is it yellow? – thanks 360p res) pumps through for a lip tap, when the orcas breeze into the frame, their dorsals dwarfing those in the water.
Yeah, they're not after us, but...
