It’s that time of the month again! Surf Snowdonia’s been forced to close once more. This time with no signs of a re-opening date. Which can only be the result of all the hype in the air. The vibes have been ethereal, electric and cataclysmic! Snowdonia can’t handle it. Wales is shaking at it’s roots and is soon to be in shambles over the outrage and riots that are about to hail down on Surf Snowdonia. Call in the national guard! Cue marshall law! It’s a god damn state of emergency Wales has on it’s hands. The sirens are ringing and Snowdonia’s most eloquent spokeswoman has had to once again take the podium.

“Our wavegarden engineers have been hard at work all weekend,” said the lovely lady in a press release, “and we have now isolated the section of the wave-generating machinery that needs to be repaired.” Wait… is that a beacon of hope from the ever-so gracious Snowdonian Spokeswoman? Will Snowdonia produce it’s fun little mush once again? “We are certain there will be no more waves this week,” our heroine continued. “We apologise sincerely to all who will be disappointed and inconvenienced by this closure.”

But, never-to-worry the rest of the facility, including the restaurant and soft play area remain open for bizz. If that’s not a silver-lining then I don’t know what it is. But in all seriousness, Snowdonia’s got to get it together. This is the third closure since the wavepool opened up in August. First from a mechanical problem, then the liner ripped and now certainty of the new issue has yet to be obtained. “As soon as we have more information from Wavegarden we will bring it to you,” said our fav spokeswoman. “Thanks again for your support and your patience.” It’s unclear if they will have to drain the six million gallon lagoon once more. If so it’ll tally 18 million gallons of water wasted in roughly two months. California’s still furrowing it’s brow with two palms wide open. Will Snowdonia’s malfunctions be the solution to the golden state’s drought? Only time will tell. And Surf Snowdonia continues to pose as a perfect metaphor of a future uncertain.
