Quiksilver CEO Pierre Agnes Missing After His Boat Washes Up On Shore
Heart-wrenching news out of France.
At 9:17 AM this morning, an 11-meter boat washed up on the beach just north of France’s premiere beachbreak, La Graviere. The boat belonged to Quiksilver CEO Pierre Agnes.
Pierre was out on the boat to fish for chipiron (small squid) this morning at approximately 7:30 AM. While Pierre was out there, a deep blanket of fog is said to have rolled in. He sent a message to the marine authorities saying he would delay his return. That was reportedly the last that was heard from him.

Pierre is a family man, a great surfer and an avid fisherman. He has been the CEO of Quiksilver since 2015, serving as the President of Quiksilver Europe for a decade before that. The current sea temperature in Hossegor is 12 degrees celsius (54 degrees fahrenheit). At press time, an extensive search mission was being conducted by the French authorities.
