Great White Breaches in Huntington Beach?
KTLA, NBC, ABC, FOX Sports 1 and more are dying to know!
In this era of digital editors, it’s sometimes difficult to decipher what’s real and what’s not. Remember that perfect backside flip that spun its way through the web a while back, before being proven fake? If you looked closely the editing was apparent. At first glance however, scrolling through Insta on your pocket computer, it was easy to be mistaken.
Sharks, particularly the White ones, get eaten the fuck up… Everyone loves a good shark story, surfers especially, because it hits close to home. It’s no secret that Southern California has a Great White pop. They lay their pups in the San Onofre area, roughly 20 miles south of Sunset Beach, where this video was taken. And hell, if watching that shark project out of the water like a submarine missile aimed at an enemy spy satellite doesn’t make your blood hot, well, we don’t know what will. Fake or not, you’re smart folks, decide for yourselves.
So, what happens when someone releases a video featuring such amazement laced with fear? Well, the mainstream media sharpens their knives and snags a slice of the pie. So far in the Youtube comments, CA Surfer, Drew Palumbo, has been contacted by KTLA, Telemundo 52 News, ABC Los Angeles, Fox Sports 1, Univision, NBC LA and the Huffington post. Why? Because sharks get clicks, and in this online world, clicks are held in adoration. Like that whole click bait phenom, that gets so many web goers fired up, typically negatively. But sometimes you can’t help but check out the 10 worst celebrity plastic surgery mishaps, or 15 scandalous photos from the roaring 20’s. We’re only human, after all…
